I would be interested to know wheter we are forming a reserve side for the coming season.I think this would be a great idea,as it would allow players to join the club structure and to play at a level that would be higher than any other, except for the first team,in this area.

Rob, I do agree that a Reserve Side would be a great thing. It would also allow the club the chance to blood some of the younger players coming through the ranks. The club have mentioned several times that a Reserve side is something that they are looking to develop, however we'd need the squad to be able to make this happen and I'm not sure if it'll happen next year or maybe the year after.

I guess that it's a case of wait and see what the club announce.

I thought that a reserve team had been launched last season - first game was against oldham I believe but might be wrong, was there not a big deal made of it at the time?

The first game for a Reserves side was played away at Rochdale during the season just gone, there was supposed to be a return fixture when Thunder played Rochdale at home and for various reasons that didn't go ahead. From memory this was an informal arrangement and it was really to give some of the squad a run out and retain some match fitness.

The club has commented that it was looking to put something in place with regards to a Reserve side and from what Richard, Tim and Chris Hood said on last night's League Talk that may well happen in 2011.

Noticed in last night's programme we have a reserves head coach - does this mean the reserves are back on?

Err, I don't think so - it appears that Graeme Neighbour is listed as Reserve Team Head Coach, which more likely suggests we're using the Thunder U18's Squad as our reserves. I could be wrong, but unless the club has something else up their sleeves.
