I have now been to both home games and just want to ask the question how much does a programme cost at an away match? From what I have been told by other clubs fans we are being charged extra and I am not sure what we are being charged for?  Could someone please elaborate for me?

Dee clubs are paying £2.50. I assume we are paying £3 because of the extra folder we are getting the programme in which contains information about our sponsors (also in the programme) and also extra flyers that may be added e.g. clinics this week. It takes time putting them together. The folders also contain a bit further information , club URL, facebook and twitter information, phone number and address on the reverse. This used to all be in our programmes until the RL changed the style of programmes a couple of seasons ago. We used to have ownership of our programme and could put a lot more information, e.g. we had a fans page, Captain Thunder page room for adverts where we raised revenue, profiles on players, a weekly quiz by Cannon Fodder. The new style programme doesn't allow for any of this. Now all we have is one page shared with our opponent. I am assuming this is the aim of the folder. The cost needs to be justified otherwise we will have , and have had, disgruntled away fans complaining they are paying more than at home. (I mentioned this to Rod last home game) I think it is a good initiative as long as we are getting extra information in the packs. I personally think it looks very professional. Thunderstruck when produced could maybe go in the folder as long as Thunderstorm get the money from it? Just an idea. Thunderbird

Having spoken to someone from another club I believe that clubs pay for the first 30% of the copies of "Game On" that they order then all the additional ones sold are profit for the club.

At the minute though it would appear that we are being charged an extra 50p for a purple folder that contains nothing but flyers. It is only 50p but I do think it is taking the mick out of the fans asking them effectively to buy flyers. If there was something else in the pack to justify the cost then I can see the point and don't begrudge the club the extra revenue, but thus far there has been nothing at all.

I bought it at the Worky game and thought maybe what was supposed to be inside had fallen out so I bought it again at York and nothing in there but stop smoking flyers again. I wont buy it a third time purely on principle.

the increase in the price of the programs is as Ainsley surgests, the purple thunder sleve containing infomation (which i may add it take a few of us to put alot of them together for you). Also i personally think its alot easier aswell when it comes to the sale of the program as it means you just have to get coins out the pocket which are all the same rather than stand and count 50p of change which will end up all over the place. I think the thunderstruck mag would be nice in but may effect the price (not sure about that).

As previously stated I would have no objection if they contained any information. But thus far only flyers for the NHS Stop Smoking campaign
